After my initial surgery, I started with bacterial infections back to back which my doctors kept prescribing me antibiotics for. In March 2024 I began having excruciating abdominal pain which I went to the hospital for 3 times and nothing was ever done. I finally decided to go to a different hospital on March 23, 2024 and within an hour, I was in the OR.
I had a hysterectomy cuff dehiscence and bacterial peritonitis.
I have been out of work and unable to lift anything heavier than 20 lbs for a 12 week recovery time.
This past Monday, June 17th, 2024, I developed abdominal pain along with some bleeding. I had my 12 week post op that same day and when the doctor saw me, she told me I was being rushed back to the OR because I had another hysterectomy cuff dehiscence. This time, my intestines were hanging in my vaginal cavity. They had to stuff it with something to keep the intestines moist until they were able to put everything back together.
My recovery time this time will be no less than 16 weeks.
I am very much behind on bills. The state barely helps financially. I was supposed to be able to go back to work this week but instead I have to restart the whole healing process again. I have my bills and my kids activities and household stuff to pay for and I’m unable to.
I was born in Argentina so I do not have family. The only financial support I have is my mom but she’s struggling in her day to day life and this has been very very hard on us. She will be moving back to CT to help me.
All this has been very expected and has taken me by surprise. The doctors don’t understand why this is happening to me. They said it’s extremely rare to have a dehiscence, let alone two. I’ve had 3 major surgeries in 6 months and it’s taken a big toll on my physical and emotional being.
Any help is HUGE and I appreciate anything
, it will all go to catch up on my bills and afford daily necessities for my kids and I❤️ never thought I would start a gofundme but my back is really against the wall this third time around.
