Help Loki Get Back on His Paws

We’ve had Loki since he was 3 years old, and now at 9, he’s still the loyal, loving companion we cherish every day. He’s not just a dog, he’s our faithful friend, always greeting us with that gentle, warm energy. Anyone who meets him can feel his calm, loving spirit.

A couple of months ago, what we thought was a simple injury turned into something we never expected. Loki stubbed his toe, or so we thought. We took him to the vet, believing it was a severe infection. He had surgery to remove his toenail, and we were relieved, thinking that was the end of it.

But as his paw began healing, it worsened. He started limping again, and soon his toe was bleeding more than ever. Our worst fears were confirmed: Loki has a form of cancer, though we don’t know yet which kind. It’s heartbreaking to see him barely able to move, spending most of his day trying to care for his painful paw.

Loki needs another surgery — this time, to amputate his toe and give him a chance to live without pain. We never thought we’d be asking for help like this, but here we are, hoping that friends, family, and fellow animal lovers can come together to help Loki get the care he needs.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference. If we raise more than Loki needs, we’ll donate the remaining funds to Anicira - San Diego to help other animals needing medical care.
