Mark Potter’s funeral fundraiser

Hi everyone, as a few friends and family members already know we lost our Mark. Mark was a much loved son, a husband, a dad, little brother, uncle, cousin and nephew; Amongst many other things to the rest of the world, a friend, someone you were lucky enough to work with or meet briefly. The list goes on, you may have only heard of him in beautiful stories about his life from those who loved him most and never had the pleasure of meeting him. How ever you were made aware of this fundraiser you will know Mark provided the world with so much light and I know there are so many people suffering an intense loss.

Mark was taken into hospital very poorly, he had gone into cardiac arrest with not much explanation as to why. Whilst doctors and nurses were able to stabilise his heart his brain had already suffered irreversible damage from not having oxygen for 20 minutes. Unfortunately doctors did all tests and tried all they could, they confirmed mark didn’t have any chance of survival. He spent the last week on earth in a coma with his family surrounding him holding his hand. We truly hope he felt our love as well as the love from everyone who sent in their support.

This was all very abrupt and unexpected, Mark was an otherwise healthy and young man. We are all devastated but take comfort in knowing Mark had decided to register himself multiple times as an organ donator, because of this we know that 4 peoples lives have been changed forever for the better because of him.

Whilst it is an incredibly stressful and sad time for us. We are putting our heads together and reaching out. We have been truly grateful to those who have expressed their willingness to contribute. So, to those who knew and loved Mark and those who just want to offer support to us as a family. This go fund me fundraiser will be used to help our family provide Mark a beautiful send of that he most definitely deserves. Any donations are greatly appreciated and nothing is too small.
