Salam (peace) everyone! As you may know, there is a small mosque on Nueces Road that many Muslims at UT and in the downtown community like to call home. Nueces Mosque has been around for a long time and unfortunately, it's getting old and the Muslim community is growing so we (the EC and community) are trying to raise enough money to begin to rebuild our mosque so it can cater to the growing population. If you ask anyone about Nueces, they'll tell you the comfort it brings, especially being so far away from home. And I know you may not be Muslim, but think of the comfort your ministry, place of worship, or place of reflection brings to you, and the beauty and love of your community. Help us re-build our mosque so we can continue to serve the community. I am aiming to raise $1000 before our fundraiser May 1st. I know you hear this a lot, but every dollar counts, and if you can't make it out to the fundraiser please consider donating and helping your Muslim brothers and sisters out!
