Wrenn’s Laryngeal Cleft Surgery and Care
Donation protected
Hello our names are Danielle and Alex we are raising funds for our daughter Wrenn. Over the past year and a half our daughter has been through countless medical treatments and struggles. From hospitalizations to seizures to oxygen and NG tubes and many stops in between. She has failed 4 swallow studies and is not able to drink anything unless we add a specific thickener into it. In the last few months we discovered that she has a laryngeal cleft, ( an abnormal opening between the larynx and the esophagus through which food and liquid can pass through the larynx into the lungs. This causes a number of eating and breathing problems.) which will require surgery. This surgery will repair the cleft and hopefully make it so she can live her life as a healthy toddler and not have a risk of choking or aspirating with drinking and eating any longer. Due to the preop appointments, the surgery (which has now been moved up to next week 7/31), the recovery in the hospital and once she gets home, and the post op appointments we will have to miss many days of work. Any money raised will go straight to supporting Wrenn and our family in this tough time and allow us to focus all of our attention on Wrenn’s healing.
