Plaque-a-thon

Hi, my name is Mike Homer (pictured sitting in my wheelchair) and along with Roy Hunt who is proudly holding our standard.

We will be embarking on a 14-day train journey around England and Wales starting on 27/06/23 and finishing on 10/07/23. During the 14 days, the aim is to visit 50 County Towns and Towns of Military Importance in less than 150 hours!

We are doing this to raise funds for plaques to be placed in towns and cities. These plaques are to honour and commemorate the 2.2 million men, of whom just under 2000 didn't return, who served our country during 1946-1963 as part of the National Service. Unfortunately, many men came back with life-changing injuries ranging from hearing loss, loss of limbs, PTSD, and in some extreme cases radiation-induced cancers.
