Wrongfully Terminated Market Square Supervisors

Hi, our names are Tori Tambellini & Kim Manfre. We are former Market Square Starbucks shift supervisors and we were wrongfully fired on 7/13/2022. We were both leaders in the city-wide organizing committee for Pittsburgh Starbucks Workers United and we know that our termination was a form of retaliation. Tori was wrongfully denied her right to a witness in a disciplinary meeting (aka Weingarten Rights). In denying Tori her Weingarten Rights, Starbucks committed a federal crime.

Any money raised will go towards Kim and Tori's immediate needs such as rent, groceries, transportation, and insurance.

We both have worked at Starbucks for 3.5 years and were both also voted Partner of the Quarter in our time there. Tori was also the store's Barista Champion in 2020. Other partners have described us as being the two hardest working shifts and we both took great pride in our work. We began organizing a union at our store because we truly loved working for Starbucks and wanted to see our work environment be the best that it could be. We are demanding that we be reinstated to our jobs at Starbucks since we were fired illegally. We love our coworkers and will continue to fight for a good contract in the meantime because we want the best for everyone.
