Disabled Grandma Needs Immediate Help! FACING IMMEDIATE EVICTION!!!
Carol is my mom. She is an amazing person. Not only has she raised 4 children that love and would do anything for her, but she has always given of herself. She is extremely ill. We've already lost our dad, now we're scared we'll lose our mom. She is protected under the Governor's Executive Order to postpone evictions until July 25th, however, the landlord would not accept any money from her at all and is trying to argue that she isn't protected under the Executive Order. Up until the Coronavirus pandemic, she was current on rent. She was behind only a few weeks when the eviction was filed.
She has several health issues, more than most would be able to bear. She has lymphedema, Lupus, blood clotting disorder, heart failure, anemia, acute respiratory failure and a history of blood clots in the legs and lungs. She almost died multiple times. She is confined to a bed and has not left her home for more than 2 months. Her doctor has ordered her to shelter in place due to her medical conditions. She has also been unable to work due to health conditions and Covid-19.
All of my mom's family is deceased or struggling themselves, the few that are left. She has nowhere to go. Her vehicle has broken down recently as well. She needs help more than she ever has before. She will need money for moving into a new home, repairing her car, a new wheelchair (hers is damaged), resume physical therapy which is $150 a session, get wraps to treat lymphedema (very expensive and not covered by insurance) and provide for her children.
Please, anything you can do to help, whether sharing this or donating anything you're able to, we appreciate it more than you know.
