Chuck & Joanne Need Your Help

Life has been tough lately for these two. Chuck and Joanne met in the spring of 1950 and have lived an amazing life. They have a beautiful family of 2 daughters and 3 sons. But lately things have taken a turn for the worst. My grandfather Chuck, who is a veteran, has had a pretty rough go health wise over the years battling and beating multiple cancers and surviving 2 strokes. What I admire most is that he never gives up. Through all this my grandma has been there by his side and is his main care taker along with the loving help of her kids.

As many of you know recently Joanne has had a few slip and fall accidents, one resulting in a broken neck and the most recent was a broken femur bone. This has put her out of commission, she can no longer help my grandfather preform his acts of daily living. This has resulted in the need for round the clock care for both of them. Bringing along with it a huge care bill even with my mother Janine and Aunt Darlene acting as on call nurses.

It’s going to be a slow recovery…and that’s why I’m reaching out for your help.

Grandpa and Grandma own a single family home in Henderson Nevada, and we have already completed the conversion of the bathroom to make it handicapped accessible & many more modifications to make it possible for both of them to get around in a wheelchair. But to put it bluntly we need help or they will loose it all.

Reaching out like this is something we have never done, but the expenses to make all this all happen are overwhelming. Not to mention having to coordinate transportation for many follow-up doctor’s appointments and outpatient rehabs. My family and I have really appreciated everyone’s kind words of encouragement, but we’re not quite sure how we’re going to manage these next set of challenges.

We have reached the end of our personal resources to keep Chuck and Joanne out of assisted living. We all are hoping to keep them at home for the rest of their days, whatever that may be. Anything you can donate to this Go Fund Me will mean so much to all of us. Have a blessed day!
