Help Marley Heal: A Goldendoodle’s Journey

Dear Friends and Animal Lovers,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also with hope. My beloved goldendoodle, Marley, has faced unimaginable challenges this year, and I need your support to help him on his path to recovery.

In January, Marley was attacked by another dog, resulting in severe injuries to his left ear. I filed a police report and a letter was mailed to the negligent dog owners. Despite my efforts to seek accountability from the owners, they ghosted me, leaving me to cover all of his veterinary bills and surgery. Marley spent a night in the animal ER, and for the first six weeks post-attack, he required round-the-clock care to heal properly. Thankfully, he bounced back and returned to his happy, playful self.

However, our challenges were far from over. While I was away for a week, the pet complex where Marley was boarded neglected to treat a minor ear infection, allowing it to escalate into a severe condition. His eardrum ultimately ruptured, sending us rushing back to the ER. This was a traumatic experience for both of us, and the follow-up visits and ER bills have been overwhelming.

After several months of treatment, the vet discovered a fleshy mass in Marley’s ear, leading to a recommendation for a $5,000 CT scan and biopsy to get to the root of the problem. To make matters worse, Marley developed a head tilt, which has us back in the vet’s office again. He now shows signs of vestibular disease, and further procedures are needed to help him.

I’m asking for your help today. The vet bills have piled up, and I’m struggling to afford the necessary CT scan, surgery, and follow-up treatments for Marley. Every dollar counts and will bring us closer to getting Marley the care he desperately needs.

Marley deserves to enjoy life again, play at the HB doggie beach, and romp with his furry friends. With your kindness and support, we can help him get back to being the joyful puppy he is.
