WTG European tour & Charity Fundraising
Donation protected

THANK YOU So much from us all at Witham Town Greens. We can't believe how much support we have had and are so grateful to everyone single one of you With your support we are able to support three amazing charities and the boys are one step closer to their dream of going to Germany to play football ⚽️
HELP US reach our Team Goals & Raise money for some great Charities.
Witham town Greens are an U11 Grassroots team who are all passionate about football. The Coaches are constantly looking for ways to enhance their football journeys and as a team we would really love the chance to take part in a European tour which would be a valuable experience for the whole team.
Whilst raising money we would like to help support a few charities that are close to our hearts, by donating 30% of any raised money. (10% towards 3 different charities)
In May 2023 one of the boys grandparents and the teams official photographer was incredibly ill in hospital and was put into an induced coma. His family was told he had sepsis, he had a very difficult journey and was very lucky to pull through thanks to the amazing care he received. The coaches and team were a huge support to the whole family through this hard time and therefore the UK Sepsis Trust is just 1 of the charities we hold close to our heart.
The National Autistic Society is another of our chosen charities. Two of our players have autism so raising awareness and understanding of autism is fundamental for our boys so that they can grow up in a society that embraces their neurodiversity. Our players show kindness, compassion and support for each other and this is fostered through the exceptional coaching all of the boys receive. The friendships formed go beyond the football pitch and will last a lifetime.
Our third and final chosen charity is Cancer Research Uk. Current statistics show that 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. In the UK, the 4 most common types of cancer are:
* breast cancer
* lung cancer
* prostate cancer
* bowel cancer
Two ladies within our footballing family have developed breast cancer in the last year and have required invasive surgery and treatment. Thankfully, both journeys are set to have positive outcomes. Once again, our team have rallied round to offer emotional support and a helping hand for all families involved, and especially for our young people. The incredible work from Cancer Research UK funds life changing research and with each new discovery, we get one step closer to beating cancer. Together, let’s stand up to cancer.
Please help us reach out goal. Any support big or small is gratefully received
