My name is Bill Barton I am 60-year-old disabled senior looking for help.

I have been disabled since 2011 when I had a below knee amputation due to diabetes. Since 2011 my life has gotten worse heath wise, mentally, and financially.

I inherited my brother’s home in 2019 when he became ill and later died of throat cancer. I was unaware that he was in foreclosure and I had to quickly sell the house in order to save it. I currently rent from the people who purchased it.

The maintenance for the home and yard has become increasingly difficult for me. The home was not in great condition when I inherited it and has deteriorated since then. This has contributed to some of my health issues.

I realize that I really need to find housing in an independent senior community where all expenses and upkeep are included in the monthly fee. My fixed income does not fully cover the monthly fees for even the least expensive options and I am hoping to raise money to help me cover this cost. I have no assets. I am not trying to raise money to go shopping, I am trying to raise funds to keep a roof over my head.
