Help Ursula and Her Family

Ursula is a vibrant wife and mother. She is an integral part of her community; volunteering hundreds of hours to her son’s school and the boy scouts. Building community has been a major part of her life. She started and moderates two community Facebook sites for the north shore of Long Island. Over 2,600 individuals benefit from Ursula’s vision of creating a positive venue to share information and resources. Ursula suffered a stroke due to an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in May 2015. There was no warning, no signs. This tragedy caught Ursula and her family entirely by surprise. While she continues to battle the effects of her condition, entering rehab and working hard to return home, her family struggles to pay for her medical bills and the costs associated with raising a young child without her at home.
