My name is Gary Green, and I have had the privilege of working in the beautiful First Nations community of Wujal Wujal, located in the heart of the Daintree National Park in far North Queensland. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart as I share the devastating news of the recent mass flooding that has left this community in ruins.

With the onslaught of a tropical cyclone and the subsequent heavy rainfall, Wujal Wujal has been severely impacted by widespread flooding. Homes have been destroyed, essential infrastructure damaged, and the lives of community members uprooted in an instant. As we approach Christmas, a time of joy and celebration, it is heartbreaking to witness the residents of Wujal Wujal grappling with the loss of everything they hold dear.

I am launching this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 to provide immediate assistance to the community in their time of need. The funds raised will be utilized to provide emergency supplies, essential resources, and support the rebuilding efforts post-flood.
