Donation protected
Michigan's harness racing family lost a beautiful soul in Becca Galloway. Please consider donating to the Galloway family during this difficult time of need. All donations will be sent to Scott and Tracy (Matuk) Galloway for funeral and medical expenses.
Becca Galloway passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 27th in the company of her entire family at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born on January 12th, 1997 in Grand Rapids, MI, as the daughter of Scott and Tracy (Matuk) Galloway.
Her first and strongest love was for horses and it showed in her passion for harness racing first and foremost and was followed by four years of 4-H with her beloved horses Lace and Luke. For the past few months, Becca had the pleasure of working at Hopewell Ranch in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, a Christian-based therapeutic riding center that reaches out to at-risk youth, veterans, and many others with the use of rescued horses, which was everything that she wanted to do with her life. Becca was a beautiful young woman full of kindness, selflessness, and a fire of determination to never stop fighting.
Surviving are her parents; sisters, Brooke and Kendra Galloway; grandparents, George and Joyce Galloway and Dave and Marge Day; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dolores Rebecca Galloway.
Friends may visit with Becca’s family from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M., Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Martin Reformed Church with Pastor Mark Heijerman officiating. Burial will follow at the Trowbridge Cemetery in Trowbridge Township.
