Memorial Fund for Tara Asokan

The loss of our dear and beloved friend Tara has left too great an impact on us to bear.

Tara was unbelievably bright, fiercely loyal, and extremely compassionate. She inspired us with her humility, and blew us away with her supportiveness. Tara was valedictorian of her high school class, a reflection of her intelligent personality and her cultural upbringing. An accomplished pianist, Tara was an artistic soul who loved music and dance. She read widely on a variety of subjects, thought deeply about social issues and how she could contribute to solving them. She was an amazing friend to us all, and her infectious laugh always brought a smile to our faces.

She loved her family and her dog, Teddy, more than anything in the world. 

We have organized this fund to honor the memory of Tara and the values that she espoused throughout her life. In light of her diverse and astounding array of interests and passions, the Asokan family will choose a cause to support in Tara’s name. Tara and her family have been a part of our Arsha Vidya Gurukulam community for over twenty years, and we would deeply appreciate your support at this time. Please join us in commemoration of our dear friend and donate if you can, but please keep Tara in your memory and prayers.
