Zach's Road To Recovery
Donation protected
Zach is a 9 year old boy who has spent the last 2 years of his life in a relentless cycle of hospital appointments, scans and therapy. He was a happy healthy boy until the 23rd August 2014 when he suffered as ischemic stroke whilst on a family holiday. His family were still reeling from being told that Zach may never walk again when they found out he had Moyamoya Disease, an incurable, progressive brain disease. Zach has since undergone 2 twelve hour brain surgeries to help create new blood flow but no one knows how long this will work for and he now suffers from TIA's and seizures. Zach has done an amazing job of learning to walk, talk and play again but the family need to raise as much money as possible to continue with his therapy so I am running the London Marathon to help them along their way.
