Help Haya and Her Family Evacuate The War in Gaza

“My name is Haya Sharif Albhaisi, I’m 24 years old and the oldest of my siblings. Our family of 8 needs your help. We were robbed of our hopes and dreams like everyone in Gaza after October 7th. This genocide changed our lives completely; we went from pursuing our dreams in education to only wanting the bare minimum of human rights and survival. All we want now is to escape these catastrophic conditions and survive what seems to be an endless war where we lost everything. We had to leave our house because it was damaged and no longer safe; we used to all sleep in the living room out of fear until it suddenly got filled with glass shards while we were sleeping, along with the backyard where the chicken coop was destroyed.

My father, Shareif Albhaisi, lost his job and only source of income at Alazhar University which was destroyed completely.

I lost my job as a laboratory doctor after working so hard to finally work in what I love and lost the chance to get higher degrees of education, so I can become an academic lecturer.

My sister, Malak Albhaisi, lost her job as a journalist which she was exceptionally good at and in which she showed great creativity and potential.

My sister, Huda Albhaisi, lost her dream of becoming a doctor. She was in second year of medicine major at Alazhar University, but her dream was crushed when the university got destroyed along with the clinical labs she used to practice in.

My brother, Ashraf Albhaisi, lost his dream of working in accounting. He only had one more year to finally get his bachelor’s degree at Alazhar University until he was suddenly robbed from his future of being a great accountant.

My younger siblings, Ola and Murad, are so young they didn’t even finish school. Ola is in middle school, and Murad is in primary school. They both couldn’t continue the very basic level of education they need to chase their beautiful dreams.

Now with everything that is happening and all the suffering, we only hope for a way out.

My name is Wasim Elhindi, I’m from Spain, and I have lived most of my life in Gaza until I unfortunately had to evacuate to Spain in November. These innocent people are my friends, and they need your help to get out of this horrific war.
