WWII VETERAN NOW FIGHTING WAR ON THE COVID-VIRUS
A life of service which began in the US Army during World War II, continues today for 98-year-old Bob Kelsall, who is walking to raise funds for Covid-19 victims and first responders who are battling this most recent global war.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Kelsall served in the European Theater beginning in 1942 and served in many battles over three years, including landing on Omaha Beach. A Sergeant in the US Army, he served mostly in forward observation and artillery support.
Today, Mr. Kelsall resides in Lancaster, PA and is doing battle with a different enemy – helping us all to wage a global war on a virus less tangible than the bombs and bullets of his first encounter, but for the hundreds of thousands who have died globally in recent months this battle is no less real.
This WWII war veteran, nearly a century old, was inspired by a fellow veteran in England. Mr. Kelsall is walking to raise funds for food and PPE for the hungry, for first responders and the elderly – each at risk during this terrible crisis.
Please help this courageous warrior raise funds to help those in need by pledging your support today. His goal is to walk 99 laps by his 99th birthday.
Thank you!
