WWII Veterans Trip Back to Battlefield

My husband and I have been escorting WWII veterans back to their battlefields in Europe. We have taken them to Bastogne, Normandy and Bastogne.

Mr. George Merz, WWII Veteran was a MP with the 818th MP Company, 8th Corp. He received 5 Bronze Stars. George was at the Battle of the Bulge the brutal winter of December, 1944.

This year is the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne.  George desires to attend this event. 
To make this wish and dream come true, we desperately need your help.  We need money for airfare, rental car, gas, food and any additional expenses.  We have a host family for lodging.  

We personally are not sitting back and asking for donations.  I just finished cleaning a home for a closing of a sale. We are doing a yard sale this weekend. I am selling WWII ornament and have a cookbook in the making. We are doing everything possible to make this event happen, so please help us help a veteran. He gave his service for freedom.

We met George many years ago on a Battle of the Bugle Association Reunion. It was held in Williamsburg, VA.  George and his grandson, Steve was with a group of WWII veterans. We spent the weekend joining them exploring historic sights, attending dinners and meetings. We absolutely fell in love with George.  After the reunion, we continued to stay in touch. 

My husband and I have had the  opportunity to take George back to the 75th anniversary celebrations of Normandy, Market Garden and now this upcoming trip to Bastogne. George has become the “Rock Star” as one reported stated in Normandy. 

Lest Never Forget Our Heroes organized by myself assist WWII Veterans with trips back to their battlefields. If more money is collected than what is needed for a trip it remains in the account for the next need or trip. George and his daughter have indicated if this happens on this fundraiser I have the permission to use for other Veterans trips or supplies.
