WWT Global Accounts UK take on Snowdon

On the 28th September 2023, WWT Global Fi will be climbing Mount Snowdon.

The team is 13 strong, with a mixture of abilities from dog walkers to avid climbers. The goal is to complete as a team and raise money for our chosen charities as listed below.

Many Tears Animal Rescue

Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is based in Carmarthenshire, Wales but has dogs in foster homes throughout the UK. We take in and rehome primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on "death row" in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.

School of Hard Knocks

The SOHK Schools Programme consists of a unique combination of rugby-based sessions, specialist mentoring and indoor group discussion. Combined with SOHK's psychology as well as the stability and consistency of the relationships that our staff build with the young people, we enable participants to make positive changes to their behaviours, attitudes and mindset and gives them the ability to recognise their personal growth.

In 2023, the School of Hard Knocks is working with 1787 pupils in 37 schools across the UK.

National MS Society

The National MS Society is bringing the world together to cure MS for every single person — as fast as possible.

Multiple sclerosis is a disease that impacts the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, which make up the central nervous system and controls everything we do. The exact cause of MS is unknown, but we do know that something triggers the immune system to attack the CNS. The resulting damage to myelin, the protective layer insulating wire-like nerve fibers, disrupts signals to and from the brain. This interruption of communication signals causes unpredictable symptoms such as numbness, tingling, mood changes, memory problems, pain, fatigue, blindness and/or paralysis. Everyone’s experience with MS is different and these losses may be temporary or long lasting.

We are aiming to raise at least 2500 GBP to donate to these 3 amazing charities, any donations are greatly appreciated by all of you!
