Don't Let the Music Die !

Dear Friends:
After several months of dormancy and significant lost revenue due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Sportsmen's Tavern, one of the premier and most beloved music venues in Western New York, recently re-opened for business only to be subject to new State restrictions which seek to prevent it from advertising ticketed music events or from presenting live music that is not incidental to a dining experience.
Sportsmen's has instituted a lawsuit in State Supreme Court to enjoin what is believed to be an arbitrary and capricious exercise of governmental authority in violation of Sportsmens’ constitutional rights, thereby further impeding its already limited ability to earn a living under these most difficult conditions.
As you might well imagine, the costs of litigation are significant but if Sportsmens prevails, the precedent will not only help Sportsmens advertise for its music shows and attract the biggest audiences that current conditions allow, but it will also benefit similarly situated venues that are subject to the same restrictions.
So many of us, musicians and music lovers alike, have benefited for so many years from the Sportsmens' experience and the generosity of its owners, the Hall family. Jason Hall, a member of the Sportsmen's Tavern family, is managing this fund and collecting the donations on behalf of his family to pay the legal the bills associated with the case.
NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOW OUR GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION BY CONTRIBUTING TO SPORTSMENS’ GO-FUND ME PAGE TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF LITIGATION AND ALSO TO ASSIST WITH SUBSTANTIAL MONTHLY OPERATING COSTS.
PLEASE GIVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. NO AMOUNT IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL.
WITH SINCERE GRATITUDE,
FRIENDS OF THE SPORTSMEN'S TAVERN
