Orphanage in Kenya

Hello friends!

Recently, God allowed my path to cross with a Pastor in Kenya named Brother Chrispine Amolo. He not only serves a church there, but he also runs an orphanage for 30+ children. Brother Chrispine grew up an orphan and felt led to help others in Kenya who had nowhere to call home. For the past several years, the orphanage has depended on some donations, but they have also been able to “hold their own”. Unfortunately, because of the high price of food, clothing, medical care, etc, in their country, they are now struggling to survive. They have one truck that allows them to travel and work outside of the orphanage; however, it currently needs a new engine. Also, it costs at least $100 a day to feed the children and they currently don’t have enough mattresses and blankets for them to sleep on. They also need clothing, shoes, hygiene items, etc. It is just truly heart breaking to see how much they are struggling, but despite their situation, Brother Chrispine continues to praise God and have faith that the Lord is going to provide. After much prayer, my family and I decided to start this fundraiser in the hopes that we might could make a difference in these children’s lives. I was able to talk to some of the children via FaceTime and they were all smiles. They appreciate what has been done to help them and I could just see their faces fill with hope because of the possibility that someone out there sees their need. When I first spoke to them, they had been 3 days without food . Deuteronomy 16:17 says, “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which He hath given thee.” We are all

so very blessed and my prayer is that if you feel burdened, that you will give as you are able. More importantly, I ask that you pray for Brother Chrispine and each of these children as they seek God’s guidance and fight to survive each and every day.
