Help Frank get his heart surgery!

¡Hola a todos! Algunos de ustedes sabrán que nuestro padre, Frank, tiene dificultades de salud y necesita ayuda; por ello, hace unos años tomamos la iniciativa de crear una campaña parecida a esta, en la que les comentábamos acerca de su situación. En aquel entonces tuvimos la increíble noticia de que finalmente no fue necesario realizar la operación para la cual recaudábamos, y pudimos destinar los fondos a los infinitos gastos que aun así su condición genera.

Hoy en día, las autoridades médicas nos han dejado saber que, desafortunadamente, nuevamente se ha vuelto crítico que nuestro padre pueda realizarse la intervención quirúrgica lo más pronto posible. Es así como decidimos reabrir esta campaña para reunir la gran cantidad de fondos que amerita esta operación.

En esta ocasión, quisiéramos proveerles un poco de contexto acerca de nuestra situación familiar. Como muchos pueden conocer, debido a la situación que vive nuestro país (Venezuela), nuestra familia se encuentra divida por el mundo, y en el caso de papá, éste se encuentra en Curacao. Así también, por un largo período de tiempo papá ha sufrido de los riñones y actualmente es paciente en diálisis, tratamiento que financia particularmente y en convenio de pago con los hospitales. Lamentablemente, durante algunos procedimientos relacionados con el catéter que debe usar para la diálisis, se contaminó con una bacteria, la cual se alojó en una de las válvulas del corazón. Fue tratado con antibióticos, pero al final la válvula termino gravemente afectada. Ha estado en constante tratamiento, pero hace unos meses los médicos indicaron que necesita una cirugía cardiovascular de emergencia, a realizarse dentro de los próximos meses.

Adicionalmente, por razones de mala gestión de parte de su corredor de seguros, actualmente no cuenta con seguro médico. Debido a esto, la operación representa un gran gasto, toda la familia está tratando por todos los medios de recaudar fondos para llevar a cabo la operación lo antes posible, pero como se trata de una suma importante de dinero, he decido solicitar su ayuda por este medio. Tú, que tal vez nos conoces, o simplemente te llego esta solicitud a través de un conocido, mi papá siempre ha sido un hombre trabajador y solidario, y hoy atraviesa un momento difícil, cualquier donación que puedas hacer será de gran ayuda, y si no puedes donar en este momento, compartirla en tus redes sociales y con tus conocidos también es de gran ayuda. Hello everyone! Some of you may know that our father, Frank, has had health issues for a long time, and needs help. For this reason, a few years ago we took the initiative to create a fundraiser similar to this one, in which we commented on his situation. At that time, we had the incredible news that it was finally not necessary to carry out the operation for which we were campaigning, and we were able to allocate the funds to the infinite expenses that his condition still generates.

Today, the medical authorities have let us know that, unfortunately, it has once again become critical that our father be able to undergo surgery as soon as possible. Because of this, we’ve decided to reopen this campaign to raise the large amount of funds that this operation requires.

On this occasion, we would like to provide you with a bit of context about our family situation. As many may know, due to the situation in our country (Venezuela), our family is divided throughout the world, and in the case of Dad, he is in Curacao. Likewise, for a long period of time, dad has suffered from kidney failure and he currently is a dialysis patient, a treatment that he finances on his own and in a payment agreement with the hospitals. Unfortunately, during some procedures related to the catheter that he must use for dialysis, he became contaminated with a bacteria, which lodged itself in one of the heart valves. He was treated with antibiotics, but in the end the valve was severely affected. He has been in constant treatment, but a few months ago the doctors indicated that he needs emergency cardiovascular surgery, to be performed within the next few months.

Additionally, due to mismanagement on the part of his insurance broker, he currently does not have health insurance. Because of this, the operation became a great expense, the whole family is trying by all means to raise funds to carry out the operation as soon as possible, but since it involves a significant sum of money, I have decided to ask for your help.

Maybe you know us, or maybe you just saw this link through an acquaintance, but my dad has always been a hardworking and caring man, and today he is going through a difficult time.
