Liver Transplant

About six years ago, Bryan was diagnosed with N.A.S.H. (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis)

liver disease. It was stable until about a year ago, when he was experiencing increasing fatigue and stomach pain, and he lost a bunch of weight (30 pounds) quickly. Bryan's M.E.L.D. (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease) score also jumped. M.E.L.D. is used to estimate the chances of surviving liver disease over the next 90 days without a transplant. The range is 6-40, with 40 closer to death. Currently, Bryan is at 23.
