Wyatt Jacob Krueger

This is Wyatt Jacob. Wyatt was born at 35 weeks due to mothers health. His oxygen started dropping right after he was born. They took him to the nicu where he spent 9 of 5 days on oxygen and unable to breathe on his own. He then turned jaundice and had to do two sets of photo therapy. Once he got home his parents started to notice his belly getting big, excessive weight gain (caused by fluid), and he started to have trouble breathing and turning blue. After about a week They admitted him again to the hospital where they found a heart murmur and mild pulmonary valve sinuous. But still no answer on his stomach They sent him home with an apnea monitor. The blue spells got more frequent and his belly got bigger by the day. During this time they have been battling Molina Health Insurance and were being turned away to run test unless they paid for them out of pocket. No cardiologist around would see Wyatt since he was assigned Molina. so they were at a stand still. Finally they found someone in Chicago that would take him. they originally were going to wait till April to see him. Once Chicago got his records, they wanted him there the next day! At 4 weeks old on march 8th 2017,  they arrived at Luries children's hospital in Chicago. The cardiologist saw him and said he should out grow the heart murmur but they are very concerned about his belly. They admitted him immediately and begin running test. The doctors have been able to determine his breathing and blue episodes were caused by abdominal distention. They have ruled out all minor reasons for the cause of his belly swelling and concerned it's one of many serious conditions. They have been in chicago for almost two weeks and they are expected to be staying at least another few weeks if not longer. They are trying to do as many test as possible but because of his size it's limited.
Wyatt Jacob has family: daddy and 1 year old brother, who are fighting for him from their hometown while mommy and wyatt fight this in Chicago. As any one can imagine with these things come expenses (hotel for daddy and brother when they visit, gas, train tickets, food, etc). Not to mention still battling with Molina trying to get them to cover him, since it is his insurance.. daddy is home working his butt off but things are hard for everyone right now. We are trying to help with any type of expense including those listed above and any possible medical treatment that may arise.
