Wyatt the Warrior 2023
Donation protected
Nearly a year ago, Wyatt went into remission for Hodgkins Lymphoma thanks to the chemotherapy and radiation treatments he received, and we all breathed a huge sigh of relief. So much of that process was made smoother thanks to you all and your amazing contributions so long ago. In the last nine months, though, things have not slowed down for Wyatt, who has still been struggling with a lot of illnesses and infections—more than your average cancer survivor. The long road of testing has already started, but it appears Wyatt has some kind of immune system deficiency—we just don’t know what kind yet, or what the ramifications will be. Years-long, bi-weekly injections until he grows out of it, or the scarier scenario: bone marrow transplant?
For those who don’t know, Wyatt has been in the hospital since March 8th due to what appears to be a fungal infection in his lungs, and will be admitted for at least another week. This is just the worst in a series of infections of the last several months, and likely the first in many more hospital admissions, countless more in lost wages for Lauren and Dj, and unmeasurable missed moments of bonding between family with the time spent apart.
This GoFundMe campaign will go directly to Wyatt and his family. Any money received will go towards keeping Wyatt comfortable, helping the Freemans with their general expenses (gas, tolls, etc,), feeding them, and generally making sure they are taken care of.
We know you still have those "We Fight for Wyatt" t-shirts from his chemotherapy treatments, but we now have new Wyatt’s Warriors items if you’d like to spruce up your Spring wardrobe. All profits will go to the Freemans, so the more purchased the more they will get. Please CLICK HERE to access the Wyatt the Warrior shop.
We already know how strong this little boy is. He’s kicked cancer’s butt not once, but twice! His “shield” may be small, but he has a tough sword and lance, and is as strong as a knight can be. The love and support that we have received already throughout Wyatt‘s journey has been incredible, and we just want to thank you all for everything you’ve done for our little warrior.
