Wyatt Thompson and Family

Hi guys, my name is Andrea. I am the Aunt to this trooper of a child, Wyatt Thompson. Today just shortly after 12pm, my nephew, his baby sister, his mother and her dear friend were all struck by a person near the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital today August 24th 2023.

Mom(Candace), baby Octavia, and Maria have all been released from the hospital. But everyone but the baby are all banged up. Candace and Maria are going to need time to heal. The baby is thankfully fine because she was in her car seat when this happened. But Wyatt is going to have a rough road ahead. He has skull fractures, L2/3 Vertbrae break. Liver and spleen lacerations. As well as a long list of superficial injuries that we are currently sitting at Sick Kids waiting for Wyatt to be taken to the Operating Room for.

At this point, we are all just extremely grateful they are alive. But we are down at Sick Kids for an unforseeable amount of time before Wyatt could be released. He will also need a Brace for the L2/3 injury which means he will have very limited mobility for the next little while. The costs to be down here as we all know are a lot. And unfortunately my family and I don't have the savings to be able to fully accommodate us being down here and tending to Wyatts needs.

I am creating this gofundme so we can hopefully have some aid in being able to care for Wyatt, Candace and Maria in the upcoming weeks. Any little bit helps and our family would be forever grateful. ❤️
