Wyatt's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
My name is Marques Kincaid, and I'm the Communications Director for Dayton Firefighter's Local 136 Union and we greatly want to help a brother and his family in their time of need.
Thomas Ritchie is a firefighter for the City of Dayton, OH and his 4 year old son is currently in a battle for his life.
On December 8th 2020, Wyatt Ritchie (two and half years old at the time) was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (also known as B-cell ALL). About five months of chemo treatments later, he was in remission, and in November of 2021 Wyatt started maintenance therapy. Unfortunately, with just eight months of maintenance therapy left, on June 8th at a chemo and LP appointment, doctors discovered Wyatt had isolated cerebrospinal fluid relapse of B-cell ALL.
Wyatt is now 4 years old, doing his second chemotherapy induction phase and waiting for a bone marrow transplant. When Wyatt gets his transplant, he will be admitted to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus for up to 6 weeks.
Dayton Firefighters Local 136 Union wants to do all we can to help our brother and his family in this great time of need. They have a long road ahead of them, and we will do all we can to support the Ritchie family for the many expenses that are to come with Wyatt's treatments. We hope you will join us in Wyatt's Fight!
