Caring for Christina
Don protégé
As the New Year approached we were looking forward to all the great things in store for us. Unfortunately, 2017 has a fight waiting ahead for one of our dearest friends. In early December Christina Cantore discovered a lump on her left breast. After numerous testing, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While we are grateful that it has been caught in the early stages, we are shocked and terribly saddened by this news. When you are 35 you never expect to hear the words "You have cancer".
Christina does not have any children of her own, in order to do so she has to undergo fertility treatments and egg preservation surgery.
Christina has always been positive, spunky, fun loving, caring and overall a person that everyone loves to be around. While most women her age will be having and raising kids, working, or just enjoying day to day life, she will be undergoing surgeries, radiation, hormone therapy, likely chemotherapy and other medical attention.
Although we would like to think life will go unblemished, the unfortunate truth is that it does not. There is no denying that cancer is one of the most awful diseases which millions of people face. However, with close friends, loving family, support and prayers, it makes this challenge not only bearable but keeps individuals strong and optimistic.
In order to help Christina get through this process as smoothly as possible, we are asking for any contribution at this time. Within days, she will be starting the first steps of many leading to extensive time off of work. With hopes of getting the best treatment she can, Christina needs help financially to make this happen.
We are hoping to raise as much as possible and any donation would make a difference. Christina is undeniably strong, and would be beyond grateful for your support. With all of your help we truly believe she will achieve the best possible outcome by BEATING BREAST CANCER!!
