Tragic Death of Nigerian Student (Ifeanyi Anyoku)

Donation protected
Ifeanyi Anyoku was only 18 years old. He came from Nigeria to the United States in Fall 2022 for his bachelor's degree in Biology at The University of Alabama *on scholarship*. His lifelong dream was to be a medical doctor. He was just resuming for his second year when tragedy struck.

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, we lost Ifeanyi to the cold hands of death in a drowning accident at Lake Nicol, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a bright star who was selfless and compassionate to everyone around him and humanity at large.

I am partnering with The African Students Association at the University to raise money to support his family through these difficult times. We hope to help cover funeral expenses and any other costs that may arise from this tragedy.

In his sojourn at the University of Alabama, Ifeanyi also gave his best to humanity. In only one year on campus, he had dedicated himself to different service leadership positions:
- Service Chair of the African Students Association at UA
- Treasurer of Bama Adult Congenital Heart
- Vice President of UA Circle K International.
- among other volunteering roles

Please join us to support his immediate family as we hope and pray that they find the fortitude to withstand this irreparable loss.
