Kash Cottle is your typical 10 year old boy. He loves football, baseball, basketball, hanging out with his friends and spending time with his family. Kash is kind, smart, energetic, and a joy to be around. He is the youngest of 3 children and the only boy in his family. On May 3, 2023 Kash was diagnosed with having a large tumor on his brain in the front right temporal lobe. He was quickly transferred to Primary Childrens ICU and underwent surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeons believed they were able to remove the entire tumor, and the MRI thereafter also reflected this.
On May 15th Kash and family received the devastating news that the pathology results came back showing that the tumor is high grade cancer. They still are waiting for more results to find out if it’s grade 3 or 4 and those results are a few more weeks away. The more they can learn about this tumor will determine the best route for treatment. Kash will start radiation in a couple of weeks. It will start as 6 weeks of daily treatment to target where the brain tumor was. Chemotherapy will more than likely follow. This is all new and happening so we will update during the next few weeks as we know more. Kash is one tough kid and we pray that he can keep his spirits high as he endures this next chapter.
Those of you that know Cassie and Clint Cottle know that they are truly some of the most kind, hardworking, and humble people you will ever meet. They would do anything to help those around them and right now I am asking for all their friends and family to rally around them and Kash to show them our support and feel our love. Please help contribute in anyway that you can so that Clint and Cassie can focus on their family right now and getting Kash healthy and back to being a carefree 10 year old boy!
