Seeking help from the community because the organization that is responsible for taking care of this is denying me coverage. I’m a single mom of three kids. I work and provide for my kids everyday, by myself! I’ve never been one to ask for help but always work hard for the things we want and need. Recently I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The findings were that I have cancer and the best form of treatment is to remove the thyroid completely to prevent spread any further. I have scheduled the surgery for the end of August. Last week I received a letter from the insurance company stating they will not cover this procedure. I then reached out to let them know I would like an appeal as I don’t agree with this decision. I also asked for it to be expedited because the surgery is at the end of August and I have put in my time off work for this. They just responded back that they will not expedite and I will have the wait the standard time to receive an answer which will come after the surgery! I am worried that I won’t be able to have this surgery and at this point I feel helpless and have been having panic/anxiety attacks over this whole situation. I am asking for help on this if possible so I can make sure this surgery happens. Please donate or at least share with someone who is able to help.
