Kevin Gilby a London Black Taxi driver was tragically killed in a road traffic accident on his way home on Friday 5th of June in Chiselhurst. He left behind a devoted and loving wife Amanda and their three children, Jade 24, George 21 and Harry 17. On 25 June, Kevin and his wife would have been celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary .
We have come together recently with a shared goal and this unity has enhanced the respect and kindness we feel towards each other within the Black Taxi trade. So, as a team we were of course all deeply saddened to learn of this news and wanted to do something to give his family some financial assistance at this terrible and difficult time.
SaveTaxi was set up by the families of Black Cab Drivers. We are concerned that TFL are not regulating the trade fairly. We have seen our own drivers struggle to make ends meet during this uncertain time and therefore understand the possible hardship the Gilby family may endure.
