I (Justin Wyeth) will be teaming up with the SID CHATMAN MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING to sponsor a great friend of mine named Scott Wredling. The golf outing will be at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol, Illinois on Saturday, July 18. Please set your calendars now! Scott was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Astrocytoma. Scott went under surgery on May 20, 2015. The doctors then found a tangerine sized tumor in his brain. Doctors were fortunate enough to get 90% of the tumor out. Scott and loved ones around him realize that this will be a battle that won't be beat overnight. He has maintained a positive outlook and attitude that we could all learn from.
Scott is newly engaged and is getting married to his long-term girlfriend/fiancé Sam Carson in February of 2016.
What is Sid Chatman Golf Outing and/or Who?: Nine years ago when Sid (Ryan Chatman's father) got sick, he and his family started a journey supporting ABTA by participating in their annual race in downtown Chicago and raising money for brain cancer research. Ryan and his family have been running this outing for local families for the past 6 years. Not only does his family get to celebrate their accomplishments and wonderful life that their father/husband lived but they get to help others out in the community as well.
I (Justin) am hoping and praying that close friends, family members, and people within the community can all get together and contribute towards this wonderful friend of mine.
It can be as simple as playing in the golf outing at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course with some great friends. It can be as easy as coming to the golf outing dinner and supporting the Wredling family while enjoying a great meal. Finally, it can also be as easy as donating anything that you possibly can to help this wonderful cause.
