Bringing Baby Olivia Home
Donation protected
On 04/30/2015 A beautiful, happy baby girl was brought into the world by Devon & Dustin Janusheske of Tomah, wi. Olivia was also welcomed by a very anxious 2 1/2 year old big sister Grace. Olivia seemed to be a normal, healthy, baby until 05/08/2015 when Olivia was diagnosed with Congenital Hydrocephalus (water on the brain, present at birth). She was then rushed to Rochester, MN. Extensive imaging showed that Olivia had a large Arachnoid cyst on the left side of her brain. Causing an enormous amount of CF fluid buildup which led to increasing pressure around the brain which caused her head to swell and grow in size. She underwent major brain surgery at only 44 days old. A craniotomy was performed to relieve the pressure and clear blockage to her left ventricle allowing the CF fluid around the brain to drain properly on its own. Where a EVD Drain was put in place to also allow for safe drainage externally. So far it is looking like the surgery has been favorable for her and things will hopefully continue to get better for sweet Olivia. With close monitoring over the next few days will determine that, or if she will still need to have another surgery where a shunt procedure is put in place. If you find it in your heart to help out this family out with medical, traveling, and other expenses incurred along the way they would be very much appericated. Prayers are very much appericated as well and needed as well. Thank you for every that has prayer this far and is continuing to pray. Devon is a stay at home mom. Dustin has limited time he is able to be away from work to be here with his family in Rochester. Even if this procedure was successful, there will be a lot of follow up appointments and after care for this amazing little fighting girl.
