Help Brandon get back on his feet!
Donation protected
My name is Eden and I have been best friends with Brandon for nearly a decade. Throughout my time with him, I have witnessed the amount of time and love Brandon pours into the wine production for the family business known as B&L winery. This family-owned winery is located in the heart of the Cambria City section of Johnstown. You have likely attended local events where B&L has been present and may have even discovered how excellent their wine is. Standing at over 6'5 tall you would recognize Brandon as the face of the winery. Brandon, along with his family, works together to bring excellent wines to the Cambria County area. Throughout their years in business Brandon and B&L Winery have donated their time, facilities, and product to help raise funds for others in similar situations. Brandon is not only a good person but is a great friend. With that being said he could really use our help during this stressful time.
On December 6, Brandon slipped on ice and fell, breaking his left hip. As a result, surgery was performed later the same day. On the day of his discharge from the hospital while transitioning from his bed to the wheelchair he felt a pop and extreme pain. An x-ray was performed and the doctor stated that everything was fine. Once home, the recovery process was not as smooth as the doctors and Brandon had hoped. Although there was pain management, something did not feel quite right. Two weeks later during Brandon's follow-up appointment, it was discovered that the pop that Brandon experienced was the implanted device failing causing strain on the joint. Consequently, a second surgery was required and performed on December 27th. This second surgery went well and Brandon was discharged to the Crichton Center for inpatient rehabilitation. Brandon remained there until January 7th. On January 11th he attended a follow-up appointment. Due to the trauma and the multiple surgeries that he went through the doctor stated that his recovery process would be much longer than anticipated. At this time Brandon cannot put any weight on his left leg for the next 4 to 6 weeks. After that, he will only be able to put 50% of his weight on his left leg. As you can imagine he will have a lengthy recovery process. Due to Brandon being unable to work at this time and the out-of-pocket costs Brandon will not be able to afford to receive the necessary physical therapy. My goal is to help Brandon get back on his feet not only in the physical sense but in the financial sense as well. 100% of the funds will go directly to Brandon's medical bills and physical therapy expenses. The outpouring of support is evidence of how he is a valued member of this community.
Please help Brandon by contributing towards his recovery needs. If you are unable to contribute, please share this page with your friends and family.
