The Burt Family

I am making this go fund me for a very special and important girl in our lives Oaklynn Mae Burt. She is the sweetest little girl (she proves her daddy would be so cute as a girl ) with a big sister just as sweet and loving! She comes from the most loving and sweetest family. They are all very near and dear to us. They have been through many trails from finding out while pregnant Oaklynn had a rare genetic condition and having to make a choice no one should have to, they chose to fight with her. They have had many and countless procedures, ER visits, 15 specialist visits (just after birth), and around the clock care that has left them with one income. This week has been the most trying. That income has become zero with Oaklynn’s weakens immune system she has gotten a virus this week that has caused her to have multiple seizures lasting hrs, multiple ER trips with testing, brain scans, ambulance rides hours away to children’s bc local doctors don’t know her condition or what infections can do to her. She has barely drank this week if they can keep her awake long enough too much less eaten. I have set this Go Fund Me up to help them as Austin definitely hasn’t been able to work this week and probably more but I would like to continue you it for future expenses they will have with this a rare condition. Below I have added a “summary” of from her momma on her condition. It is much more intensive and advanced then what she details. I convinced her to take our loves for Oaklynn from us to allow both her parents to be by her side.
Oaklynn was born with a rare genetic condition called tuberous sclerosis complex. It entails tumor growth throughout her entire body. It is a very rare disease, being a 1 in 10,000 that she got it. She currently has tumor involvement in her heart, which causes her to have an arrhythmia and rounds of SVT (her heart rapidly accelerates).
She has involvement in her brain, which causes some swelling and seizures.
She has a cyst on her kidney
We see 15 specialists for her so we are at children’s mercy more than we are home.
We are a family of four. We have one other daughter that is three years old, then my husband and myself. My husband is the only one able to work due to oaklynn needing around the clock care.
We are currently in the neuro icu at children’s where she is having multiple seizures
