Helping Phil and Wanda, victims of Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Glenda Watson, and I have known Wanda Verlander Christopherson since first grade; I am very concerned about her and her husband's current Situation. They moved to Ft Myers just a year ago and loved their new lives until Hurricane Ian hit and took everything away from them. They need emergency funds to get much-needed items to begin rebuilding their lives, as many do now. Many of us know them personally, and I am asking all their friends to go to Philip Christopherson's Facebook page and donate through his Venmo posted there or through Gofundme. If you need a PayPal or cash app, contact me directly; I have both, and I can forward it all to them. How much do you spend on a night out? Think about staying home one evening and helping someone who desperately needs it. Stay home instead and give it to them. Thank GOD they survived; now it's time to rebuild, and it takes us all to help. Thank you all in advance for your participation in helping them. May God Bless us all!
UPDATE: From Wanda Christopherson: About a week ago, Hurricane Ian decided to visit our little slice of Paradise, Ft. Myers, Sanibel, Captiva Island, Florida and drill devastating destruction. We fell in love with this place quickly and deeply when we moved here; the whole vibe is genuinely unique and connecting. The beauty amazed us daily. We were finding our "spots" and loving every minute. We don't have a place to go home to, as ours is damaged beyond repair and possessions ruined, but we are safe and blessed to be alive.
I am grateful that our hotel let us stay so we could be. It is now an apocalyptic paradise focusing on rescue, recovery, clean-up, repair, and rebuilding. Our Hotel was home for the news reporters ( yes, Jim Cantone was here), and first responders during the storm. Now we are a base for the search & rescue teams, etc. Feeding the Sheriff's and first responders with old-school camping style grilling by flashlights, sternos etc., daily, as clean-up and restoration to our hotel is focused. I don't have words to describe all this .. it's been all over the news, and it is still more surreal. The level of compassion and appreciation is dimensional. Our hearts are forever grateful for those who reached out to us and have shown support in any way❤️ I continually pray for those who are missing and those who lost more than material things. I pray for the restoration of this little paradise on earth. I pray this hotel prospers in the midst, to remain moving forward. It will take some time, but
One day at a time ... breathe
Love you ❤️
