Dear friends, family and supporters, Hi, my name is Liora. This past year I had the incredible opportunity of attending Bnot Torah Sharfman’s Shana Aleph program. My dream has always been to go to seminary and find my own personal way of connecting with Hashem. I did not want Him to just be an idea, but to be an actual presence in my life. Baruch Hashem I was privileged enough to make that a reality for the past year. Returning for a second year will allow me to take what I have learned about building a stable foundation and truly solidify it to build a healthy future. This has not been an easy journey, to say the least, but with time and effort, I am proud of who I am today. Sharfman’s did not just give me life tools, they found a way to deliver it with love and encouragement. They have taught me to never give up, no matter how tough life can get. I honestly cannot imagine how much more I will be able to gain with another year at Sharfman’s, but I know it will be life changing. Although I put in the work, I am very aware that none of this would have been possible without Sharfman’s. They created a safe space for me; a home where I felt loved and cared for. Every moment I have spent here, I have been building and growing on the most beautiful foundation. For the first time in my life I do not just need to continue therapy, I want to. I want to grow closer to my teachers, build connections, and strengthen myself. This is a concept my insecure teenage self would have laughed at, but here I am. Here’s the part where I cannot do alone. Tuition for the year cost $30,000, a sum I cannot afford. Sharman’s has generously offered me a $7,000 

scholarship but I need help raising the rest. WIthout your help and tzedakah, I will not be able to achieve this goal. It’s not easy to ask for help but I am confident in the investment I am asking you to make. With Hashem’s help and your generosity, taking the next step in this journey can be a real possibility.
