Little Lolita

Donation protected
In August of this year, my niece, Sophia Sotini, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and named her Lolita. Tuesday evening, December 19, Lolita was rushed to Children's hospital in St. Paul with RSV. Wednesday morning, we found out she had a heart murmur and was transferred to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. They attempted to do a CT scan when she stopped breathing. She was then put on life support. Thursday, they found she has a rare heart condition called ALCAPA. On Friday, she went in for open-heart surgery to have it repaired. Although the procedure itself was about 45 minutes, the process of moving her from her room to the OR and back took 5 hours. The condition was worse than expected, but they were still able to complete the surgery. She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. As you can imagine, this is the worst time of year to have a baby in such a scary situation. This is also a time for giving. All gifts, however small, collectively can make a huge impact to help with costs not covered by insurance. Please keep Lolita in your prayers and send all the good vibes her way. She could use all the help she can get during this extremely difficult time. May your blessings be many. May your joy be great. Merry Christmas!
