HELP DEB HELP OTHERS - BALI AND BEYOND

Hi my name is Deb Stone..I have a passion to help people who live in areas of the world where Social Justice, the distribution of wealth, opportunities and priviledges within a society, is severely lacking. Those of you who know me well are aware that I've been caring for people most of my life.

For some unknown reason people have always been placed before me needing help. I've been given opportunities to see the suffering of others and then supplied with the means to assist, whether large or small, physical, emotional, spiritual or financial.

It blows me away how incredibly blessed we are, especially in Australia. I know our system is flawed, but we at least have something for the aged, poor, sick, disabled, unemployed and displaced. This is not the case in many areas of the world and most everyday Aussies have no idea, just as I didn't.

My late husband and I had a dream, which took the sacrifice of giving up a permanent home so we could travel, identify needs and try to fill them.

In Bali, Africa and various other areas in the world, it's incredible to think people live as they do. It's not the mess in the streets or even the lack of adequate shelter, health services, education, everyday essentials or material possessions, it's when you see into eyes devoid of hope.

If we as a network of like minded, humanity driven people can bring with love, just a glimmer of hope by each giving what essentially is the cost of a chocolate bar or a cup of coffee, just $2 - 5, then we must do so because, without hope what's the point?

My financial circumstances have changed a lot since Kev's death. I still don't have a permanent home but can, by God's grace and provision, care for myself and I'm never without a safe place to stay. It's the extra dollars that are required when I find people in dire situations, needing a helping hand.
