Amelia Strong

Hi, my name is John Dobek and in May of this year our Amelia was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a children’s form of aggressive cancer that requires very specialized treatment. The disease occurs in utero - often undetected until symptoms emerge after birth. In Amelia’s case, her symptoms appeared rather early and sustained testing confirmed the diagnosis. Amelia is a little warrior and has tolerated treatments well to this point. But the disease at stage 4 is requiring immediate, specialized care outside of the Syracuse area - specifically continuing treatment asap at Sloan Kettering in NYC - the leading center for neuroblastoma treatment and research. Obviously the strain of worry and expense has impacted the family. Bryn, Martin, Amelia and Ava are your typical young family and you can only imagine the burden they, as many other families must endure. They need your help to defeat this aggressive and miserable disease. PLEASE help. Anything you can to contribute is so needed and so much appreciated by Amelia’s family.
