On Mother's Day 2020 the life of this beautiful and vibrant young lady was changed forever. A woman who was her aunt by marriage for 10 years ran her down with her van in a fit of evil rage. As a result Victoria's promising basketball career has been cut short. Her right leg was amputated and she has suffered severe damages to her pelvis. Since May 10th she has undergone at least 8 surgeries. Since we are dealing with the pandemic, the family is unable to be by her side. Through facetime and phone calls we are trying to keep her encouraged and strong. She's a fighter. She's tough even though she knows her life will never be the same. She will have to undergo many more surgeries and intense physical therapy. Her life as an independent young lady has been changed. She is now faced with needing a caretaker, housing, and transportation to accommodate her disability. Victoria has a long road ahead to recovery but she is determined to face this journey with all the strength of an athlete. With our help and support as a community will be an encouragement to show Victoria she is not alone. Together we can overcome this evil act with love. Let's show our Victoria, Binky or Vicky (whatever name you call her) that she is loved and that together we are #VictoriaStrong
