Theresa, was given devastating news - she has Metastatic (Stage 4) Appendix Cancer. The cancer has spread from the appendix to her lymph nodes and ovaries. Theresa recently celebrated her 50th birthday. We ask for everyone's well wishes and thoughts as she battles cancer.
Theresa’s family is working together to set up this Go Fund Me to assist her financially so that she does not have to worry about money and can focus on getting well.
Theresa is currently recovering from extensive surgery and has been referred by her local oncologist to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville so that she can have an additional surgery and HIPEC - Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (a cancer treatment that involves filling the abdominal cavity with chemotherapy that has been heated). HIPEC is performed after the surgeon removes tumors or lesions from the abdominal area. Theresa is also going to start IV chemotherapy locally.
Please help Theresa by contributing, whether in a modest or momentous way. Theresa will be unable to work for some time and funds will go toward her health insurance deductible, co-pays and related costs. Other funds will go towards her travel expenses and living expenses, so that she can focus on healing.
