Caring for Niece while Mom can not

Helping a high school friend calm the waters, while trying to care for her 2 year old niece.  Family takes over when there is a need but sometimes the finances are just not there to be able to do the right thing.  
She is hoping that this is not a long term situation but as we all aware it takes some time for an addict to recover.  
The Aunt is needing to start from scratch and get all the necessary things a 2 year old will need.  Plus, Diapers and Daycare are going to be an expense she can not afford.  Please feel free to message me, if you have any questions.  
I would love to see the financial burden lightened for her as much as possible.
