Tramway FC
Donation protected
As many of you know, I have lived, studied and frequently visited South Africa over the last 10 years. I have always been amazed by the resiliency of its people, and inspired to support its communities in as many ways as possible. The country continues to struggle with social and economic inequality. Over the past several years I have worked as a medical student and physician at Victoria Hospital and supported Tramway FC, a football club started by one of its physicians Dr. Nasief van der Schyff. Since first donating soccer goals to the club 5 years ago, Tramway FC has grown to over 350 kids from various racial and socioeconomic backgrounds, they have also started the first girls football club in all of South Africa. With our support, the club can continue to grow with hopes of sending many kids overseas on academic football scholarships. With our support they can continue to empower the youth, and through sport improve their community.
I have set an initial funding target of $2500 which will cover the operation cost for 1 year of the team you see above. Please see more information on Tramway FC and its operation budget attached.
