Lindsey’s Legacy Fund

Updated July 13 2021

We have reached our original goal of $15,000 and have bumped up the new goal. As we learn new information regarding Lindsey and her current condition we are made to realize just how expensive things are going to be. We are currently trying hard to get Lindsey a double lung transplant as this will be the only way she will be able to survive. When/If she is accepted for a lung transplant Lindsey and the family will be required to move to that location for at least a year and Lindsey will be required to be on medicines for the rest of her life. All of these changes will be very expensive. We ask that if you can please donate and continue to share this post. We appreciate it tremendously!

On Friday, April 23 Lindsey tested positive for COVID-19. Two days later, On Sunday, April 25 she went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with COVID related double pneumonia. At that time, she was admitted to the COVID ward and began receiving treatment. April 28 she was moved to the ICU and has progressively gotten worse since then. She had to be intubated and placed on a ventilator. She has been in the ICU under complete intubation and sedation for two weeks with little progress.

On Tuesday, May 11 she was accepted into an ECMO care program at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she will be able to receive higher levels of treatment and the care she will need to recover.

Her husband Kyle who is the sole provider for their family has not been able to work for the last two weeks as they have two small children at home who he has been caring for.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are beginning to add up along with all the everyday costs that go along with raising a family and maintaining a household.

Lindsey is a fighter but will have a long and hard road to recovery. We are asking you to help ease the financial burden on the Phelps family during this incredibly hard time in their lives. You can help by sharing and donating what you can. Every little bit is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
