Chami Family Support

Yesterday Dave was due home from work.  Sam was at home waiting but Dave didn't come home and after hours of worry she finally located him via the find my iPhone app and imagined the worst when the location came up as St Vincent's Hospital.  Leigh was amazing and selfless in helping Sam find Dave and has continued to be helpful in every way possible.

Dave had been hit by a 4WD while driving his Vespa, he was not at fault the driver did not see him.

Dave is lucky to be alive and has sustained multiple injuries including a broken jaw, broken teeth, dislocated hip and multiple breaks in his thigh and lower leg bones.  He has had one surgery and will be having more.  Currently he is sedated in ICU until he can be operated on again.  The initial CT scan did not indicate any head or neck trauma and he will be having another one to make sure that hasn't changed overnight.
Sam is so grateful that Dave has made it however the family have a long road ahead with more surgeries, time off work, hospital parking fees and rehabilitation.
Dave and Sam have both helped so many people in so many ways. If anyone can support them through this difficult time and ease the worry of ongoing financial burden I know Sam, Dave and Weston will be most grateful.  Lets help them out as they spend this Christmas in hospital.

Updates on Dave's progress will be posted on here, Sam is overwhelmed at the moment looking after Weston and being there for Dave.  If anyone would like further updates please contact Leigh Bolton.
All payments made will go to Sam's bank account via Gofundme.
