This is my wonderful partner Wayne Sheppard. Wayne has Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and a very debilitating neurological condition that has robbed him of his mobility and his ability to control his motor responses. He has deteriorated very rapidly since late September last year.
Wayne is wonderful, caring, loving man who was always first in line to give help and support to anyone who needed it.
Wayne came to the UK in 2002 on an Ancestral Visa (his father's family were from London). He has always worked and paid into the UK tax system.
Because of his cancer and mobility problems, he is no longer able to work at his job as a hospital equipment engineer and his wages have now stopped; he is now on statutory sick pay of £88.45 per week. I have had to give up my job to care for him.
Wayne's visa does not allow him access to public funds so we have no financial support, in addition, his visa expires in March of 2018. There is however, a simple remedy to this. Because he has lived in the UK for over 10 years and paid full contributions, he can apply for, and will be awarded permanent residency. But, the problem is this will cost £1845.00 and we just don't have the money and no way of saving that much before next year.
Any help that anyone can give us, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated by us and my 4 children.
Peace and love to you all.
